Tetenal Work Paper No. 3
I was beeing stupid again! I measured for the highlights in the totally insane hope i would get some detail into the sky! Next time I’ll go for the shadows again, fuck the the highlights! Maybe I just need a yellow filter? Paper is pretty difficult to expose when it comes to landscapes and sky! Yesterday I made a different mistake for which I paid today. I put the paper in the magazines, emulsion side down and when I noticed in the darkroom ( after beeing out shooting) I just put them back in the right way. Not good! Now 4 of 5 pictures I took this morning are slightly-heavily double exposed! So from now on I take extra care when loading the magazines! Anyways it’s always nice carrying 10+kg of gear around and in the end totally fucking it up…welcome to large format photography! Well, I guess I learn as I go! Don’t get me wrong! I totally love it! ‘cause if you don’t fuck up you can learn nothing and my mistakes often point me in a different direction than the one I was initially pursuing. I even like to think that some of my best work is based on mistakes I made! So, make mistakes alot, it’s always worth it - Amen   Haha!

My shot at candid photography, wich is not really my thing! I wanted to try it anyways and there’s more to come! I’ve found my dads old olympus xa in one of the boxes I been hauling around for years, the ones with all the darkroom stuff! Didn’t even know I had it! While I hate it’s viewfinder, I love that it’s apperture priority and that it does long times! The perfect camera for close quarter photography! Don’t look through the finder, just shoot! But beware! Don’t forget to focus!!!
